Cops, to be visible in shopping centers

LAOAG – Christmas trade fairs are now open for public in down-town, just like at the Heroes Hall.

Items being sold are much cheaper compared to those in malls, it is then expected that hundreds of shoppers will arrive anytime.

Meanwhile PNP gave tips for these shoppers to help them prevent becoming victims of Las-las gang and pick-pocketers.

According to the police, shoppers should not be just alone they should be accompanied by someone they trust to. Shopping lists should also be prepared before they run to trade fairs and they should always be attentive.

HOW THE MEDIA TREATED ON RUFFA AND KRIS ISSUE

It was again another Ruffa Guttierez and Kris Aquino issue. Two of the biggest names in the entertainment world in the country. But this time, let us not just ignore it (although we don't know what's behind this issue) let's see, how the media (as a whole) treated this issue.

As the media reported, the issue was all about the said to be walk-out of Ruffa (Guttierez) from The Buzz, because she was offended by the words of Kris (Aquino).

As one of the rules in news reporting, it is a requirement to know all the data first, be sure that every information are all in before conducting the report, but what Showbiz Central did? Right after that said incident, Anabel Rama appeared on the show, because it was a live program, she was not able to stop from saying words that somehow, not related to the issue. The question here, how come the desk of that program be able to allow Ms. Rama to be interviewed, where in there is not enough information about the said incident yet.

THE GOOD SIDE

It's a good move from the News and Public Affairs department of GMA7 when Lhar Santiago reached Kris (Aquino) to make a comment in the said incident and Ms. Rama's statement. We have heard and seen it, she apologized in front of a camera. The next day, Tuesday, of the same program, Ruffa (Guttierez) cleared that she was not actualy offended, and the issue is not about what Kris said, but she was just too emotional about leaving the show. Now, we heard the both sides.


BAND-WAGON EFFECT?

We thought the issue is over, yes it is, but here comes another one, Kris was crying in a national TV saying that some people accused her of being a liar and trying to destroy Noynoy's (Aquino) reputation. We don't want to connect this issue to the recent one, but sometimes we can't deny that this might be an after effect of the recent one. But nobody knows.


THE DEAL

We don't know what's the real score behind this issue and how this came up. And we don't know how this transformed into another issue. But one thing is for sure, there will be more issues that will arise.

Haha! I think I have to say bye for now to the world of INTERNET. Not because I'm so tired and so load up with it, but, I just want to focus on my THESIS (which I will be defending it later) and to some aspects of my life as well (huhuhu drama?).

NOSEBLEED EXAM!

I have to admit that our final examination in LIFE, WORKS AND WRITINGS OF RIZAL was indeed a tremendously nosebleeding exam. Although part of it is my fault for I did'nt spent a night with the book, I think 80% of my answers, I'm sure, is true. Anyways, I like the exam and I hope I will encounter another exams like that.

JUST ENJOY

RATINGS.

That's one of the top reasons why there are so many TV shows that ends in just (more or less) 3 months upon aired. Remember the shows like ROUNIN (ABS-CBN), PALOS (ABS-CBN) and etc. These are just example of non-rating shows of the Kapamilya network. Why? I think we have to train more writers when it comes to originality of stories, and if they want to top some shows, I think the best answer is to make an alternatives. Kind of a show that is not the same with that of your rival or vice versa, with this I'm sure that show will emerge, just like this new show SHOWTIME (ABS-CBN). They created a program where in very much far from it's rival SIS (GMA7) that for about 5 years (or more) it always emerge as no.1 morning show (at least before noontime).

Well, since I'm talking about RATINGS, recently ASAP XV (ABS-CBN) is topping the sopt for no.1 concert TV in the country for almost consecutive surveys, and this alarms GMA7's program manager for SOP.

I have no problem with SOP, to be honest I prefer to watch it than ASAP, but I think we all have individual differences that what might good to me is bad for you, or vice versa.

But ratings killed this concert TV of Kapuso network, a reason for it to have it's curtain call or final episode on February 28, 2010.

I agree with Regine Velasquez - one of the main hosts of the show, saying that they forgot to enjoy the show but thought of ratings.

So that would be a lesson not only to SOP, but to all of the shows. Ratings might be sacred, but most important is to just have fun and enjoy it.

PROUD NWU'ista AKO

Minsan ko ng nilait ang school ko, ikinahiya, binatikos dahil sa ilang mga pagkukulang nila. Dumating na rin sa point na halos hindi ako kampante na sabihin sa iba na dito ako nag-aaral dahil sa mga ilang kahihiyang nangyari na halos ang ibang estudyanteng gaya ko ay binabalewala na lang. Nangyari na rin na paulanin ko ng mga batikos ang unibersidad na ito sa aking mga columns sa aming school publication. At higit sa lahat, umabot pa na halos gusto ko ng lumipat ng ibang school. Ngunit, sa kabila ng lahat ng ito, naisip ko na, ang paaralang kinabibilangan ko ay parang magulang ko. Parang nanay na minsan ay may mga pagkukulang. Parang tatay na na minsan ay sobrang higpit. May mga pagkakataon mang halos pigain na kami sa tuition fee issues, still inaayos nila ito.
Napagtanto ko, na sa kabila ng lahat ng ito masaya ako dahil dito ko ipagpapatuloy ang aking mga pangarap. Dito ako mahahasa ng mga kakayahang tiyak na magagamit ko sa 'real world'. After all, naniniwala ako na the school only wants the best for the students, kaya siguro sa mga paghihigpit ay nagagawa nila iyon. The only thing is, we have to be open minded. We have to be liberated on every events that happen. Maaaring masaktan tayo but still maaayos naman iag lahat ng ito. Now that I will about to leave the university, my only wish is sana ipagpatuloy nila ang totoong student service na ginagawa nila, na sana maayos na ang lahat ng ito. After all, I gained a lot from this humble unversity a reason why that at the end of the day masasabi kong, 'PROUD NWU'ista AKO'. Hindi ito dahil sa magtatapos ako, o kaya nama'y gustong magpalakas. Ito ay gawang sinsero at galing sa aking puso. Salamat NWU. Salamat sa lahat ng natutunan ko. Salamat sa mga ups and downs na naranasan ko, dahil dito masisiguro kong, magiging proud din kayo sa akin, sa amin.Para sa lahat, MALIGAYANG PAGTATAPOS BATCH 2010!

THE MOST HONEST PAGEANT EVER!

Congratulations to all of the winners (and the contestants as well) of the recently concluded and the very first time Mr. and Ms. University 2010.

This year's pageant shows how the candidates should not just expect that they can win the contest, nor be that so confident that since they got almost the awards it means they will surely get the tittles.

Anyway this year's pageant was the MOST HONEST and CREDIBLE pageant in the history of NWU (for me in my almost 5 years in the university). Although there were some irregularities like technical glitches, still the night's show ended great.

I'm hoping for more productions like this in the coming years of NWU.
