'WE WERE WARNED'

Last night (last full show), I checked this movie for I waited for this for almost a year. Actually I discovered this film since last year in YouTube, and I always tell this to my friends. I even downloaded its trailer! Hahaha!

Okay, so the movie was not that good as 'TITANIC'. Although there are some similarities (remember the ship tossed when it was hit by the ice berg?), just like when the cruise ship when it was also tossed.

I like the CG's, it's like real! But I can't help but laugh when I saw the White House wiped out by the huge wave (I'm sorry, but I don't know why).

I have had a goosebump when the scene was about the Indian family as they waited for the huge wave to hit them, that was so touchy.

I slightly had my tears when the US President spoke in front of the camera and was broadcast then I think the last words were "THE LORD IS MY SHEPERD..." and then a chaosl scene comes next.

I like the continuity of the story, and I like also the beginning of the film (its like the frames used were extended for montage)

All I can say is, you have to watch it.
Wow!

NOT THAT 'A' MOVIE

I just saw 'Ninja Assassin' last night, and I would say that, the movie is not that very good one, though I like the action scenes and some of the CG's.
I just felt lke unsatisfied with Rain's portrayal of Raizo, but maybe that's the nature of his character as a ninja.
I think the used of blood in the movie, how they played it was exagerated. But again maybe this is the way to show how to kill a Ninja (hahaha) Anyways, I like the conitnuity of every scenes, and I also like the twist (as it was revealed maybe near half of the movie) when Mika thought that Raizo was the killer, but he was not, but the other ninjas.
I envied Rain for his six packs and I want to achieve it!
Anyways, not that 'A' movie but I think it's good to have it.

NEWMOON as 'bitin'

At first I was so excited about this movie because after I watched 'TWILIGHT' I felt that seeking for answers about what that movie left me is a need. When we watched the movie last Sunday, I was so silent. I make it a point that every lines of the characters will be inculcated in me, kind of, I must undrestand whatever they say. So as the movie goes on, It moves me a lot. Kind of I am so interested into every scenes, very excited indeed. But at the end part, I felt so bad, because when Edward asks Bella if she wants to marry him the credits come next. See that? You know that feeling? It's like you were not satisfied but you were full already? Indeed. 'NEWMOON' is bitin.

I was MJfied...

I would say that I was MJfied last night.
I grew up listening to pop music, but the other genre like alternative, blues, RNB, ballad, rock and many more guided me also every day.
I remember I was dying to listen to all the songs of Britney Spears, wow she’s a goddess to me. She sings very enthusiastic and kind of hippy. I like her songs “Sometimes” and “Overprotected”. Somehow, she came into my life and taught me with many lessons from her songs. Until now, I’m craving to see her in person. I remember, I said to my classmates that when she will be having her concert here, I will make an effort just to see her, that how Britney is in my life.
Michael Jackson… the king of Pop… the greatest entertainer in the whole world, who wouldn’t recognized him? His upbeat to low tempo music, to rocking and crazy song, to heartfelt and really touchy voice, he ruled me, honestly.
A friend of mine sent me a message on my cellular phone saying that MJ is dead. At first I did not give much attention to it, for I know this s just a rumour, another rumour like Britney who were found out dead on her crashed car, or Jolina Magdangal found dead on her room or Piolo died on his bathroom. So I ignored it. But later that night, when I switch the TV on and tuned to CNN for some news, I saw a crawler saying that Michael Jackson died on an overdosed. Well, I checked again the crawler I went near to the tv scree, I read it slowly, and yes, he is dead. I was stopped for maybe five seconds. I don’t know why. Who is Michael Jackson anyway? Did he helped me in my studies did he let my life the best ever? Well, these might not the role of him, but at least he meant something to me, I don’t know what it is.
Then I watched his memorial service at the Staples Center. Wow! He is a star even he is dead. I followed his coffin being driven to that center. So many fans were waiting for him. So many, as so many fans…
Then Mariah sang the famous “I’ll be there” I am starting to get goosebumps. It was a solemn opening from her, singing in front of MJ’s coffin.
What made my tears fallen was when Usher sang “Gone to Soon”. I said to myself, “Oh no, why I’m having this feeling?” and when he touched MJ’s coffin, I can’t help but crying.
I don’t know, right now I’m enjoying listening hard, metal, and alternative music, Disturbed’s “Down with the sickness”? c’mon! But still I was touched by him, maybe this is just an evidence that no matter who you are, what music you are listening to, no matter how hard you are, you can still be soften by him… and I would say, I was really MJfied...

TAYO MISMO?

To be honest, I just joined this "AKO MISMO" campaign, an idea developed to promote awareness and voting empowerment to everyone, especially to the youth.

But, as I was browsing the organization site, I noticed that there's only less than 230,000 members. This is not enough to win a presidentail candidate.

What I would like to say is that, is his enough to encourage he youth to exercise their right to suffrage or juts like the previous campaigns that its just fad, trying to disturbed the focus of the people on the current political status of the contry.

I also noticed that you can invite a friend or make comments to their posts (wall of commitments).

what do you think?

DO YOU HAVE ETHICS?

Ethics, as defined, is a branch of philosophy that deals with the rightness or wrongness of human act.

In our present situation, we encounter ethical issues. From the people we used to talk everyday, to the local news we saw on TV. From the radio announcers and even to ourselves. Evrythings ahs it, it has an ethical issue indeed.

In our class Media Ethics, we learned that even the most respected news organization in the country commits violations with regards to media ethics.

But, why we have to follow these words? Isn't it enough that we've delivered the information for the consumption of the public? Isn't it enough that we just did what we have to do as a journalist?

Well, my answer would be, no.

That's why we have this what we called ethics, we live to follow these, and breaking it is a mortal sin.

As we go further in our class, we keep on discovering ethical issues that even in the early days of journalism, these were already violated.

As one's says... "The Journalism (media) is the watchdog of the public."

We should be responsible in any information we deliver, we should not be basing on the legal guidelines, but we should also consider our ethics.
